DESCRIPTION:The nose on this traditionally poll-rammed sake features a collection of gamey, grainy, nutty, and a hint of mushroom aromas. Typically really dry sakes lack body, but not this guy. And typically dry brews do not drink “creamy” – not this guy. This is a dry sake with a creamy soft middle and peek-a-boo looks at grains and crème brulle with burnt sugar flavor components. A small vessel brings out a thinner drier fluid with hints of caramel. A mid-sized glass produces a rounder chewier flow with a touch of mushroom. And a larger glass brings forth the creamier elements with a taste of nougat. Round and dry this brew gets more creamy at or near room temperature. | |
