- 1 3/4 cups sake
- 1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1 cup mixed fruit chunks (strawberries, kiwis, cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew all work well)
- Soda water on top
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
In a bowl, combine the sake, orange juice, brandy, and sugar and stir until sugar is totally dissolved. Pour the mixture into a large pitcher, add the fruit chunks, cover, refrigerate, and allow to macerate for 4 to 6 hours.
To serve, fill large wineglasses with ice, add enough of the mixture to fill about 3/4 full, straining out the fruit and then top with a bit of soda water. Garnish with fruit and mint leaves.
