Miyosakae Tenmi

$145

Occasionally a brewer approaches us with a brew that resets our grading scale...this is one of them. If you are looking for a premium sake to impress, your list should start with this godly brew. Let's start with the fragrance: think melon and pear with an undertone of bamboo and a dash of white pepper. Now the taste: fruits mixed with marshmallows. Can you picture it? Mmmmmm...cloudy marshmallows and pears. The result: rich, elegant, layered, sweet, a bit dry. And all ending with a quick finish. And, did you see the bottle? So cool...the presentation blows away any bottle of wine.

Overflowing Fruitiness

I am no sake connoisseur but this is such an amazing bottle! It’s a bit acidic at first but taste of fresh, ripe melon soon dominates your palate and keeps you wanting more. It’s so smooth and refreshing that it can turn into a dangerous addiction. The fragrance lasts a very long time so take your time to savor it. Will recommend it to people who love white wine or prosecco and people who are beginners at sake tasting.

The Best!

This is one of the best Junmai Daiginjo we've ever had. We ordered this bottle at n/naka (and also one of the best sushi dining experience we've had) and will never drink another brand again. We always make sure to stock this brand in our inventory.

Fruity & Fun

The nose on this extremely well-packaged sake is a tapestry of blueberry, pear, mango, and honeydew wafts. This very bright and fruit forward Daiginjo has an acidity act that speaks to wine drinkers. There is quite a collection of flavors that match the nose of this brew; white grape, pear, and honeydew melon abound. The strength of the sake however is the feeling of the fluid in the pallet – smooth, round and buoyed by a gentle acidity. A very expressive fruit first experience that drinks like a parade of flavors on a bright day.

Smile. Enjoy life. Heaven on Earth.

It was a special occasion; I wanted a special sake. My brother and I enjoyed a bottle of Miyosakae Tenmi Daiginjo to celebrate his 70th birthday. Smooth, comforting, and indeed, "A Taste of Heaven." I have never before described a bottle of Nihonshu as "refreshing," but chilled right from the cooler this Daiginjo was refreshing and enlivening. It reminded me of a mountain waterfall in Akita, Japan near Lake Towadako. I found it clean tasting. It was not overly fruity or flowery. It was difficult to tell that I was drinking a beverage containing alcohol. It was straight forward pure delight. This Sake of the Gods would be an excellent gift. The presentation (a beautiful bottle), nose and taste are truly divine.
