This is a barley spirit (Shochu) and is distilled in oak bourbon whiskey barrels, creating a mellow taste and golden color. Nose is mainly wood, barrel notes. Tastes of toasted vanilla and green rye spices. Pair with grilled red meat or smoked cheeses (maybe gouda). Good gateway for those who love bourbon/whiskey/scotch.
