Kuroushi Omachi

$45

Kuroushi's "Black Bull" is rich and ricey, with a soft earthiness, and a touch of leather. It's a full-bodied, dry sake made to show off the best qualities of the Omachi rice varietal—the oldest pure strain of sake rice, discovered in 1859. The result is a rich, layered, nuanced, soft yet sturdy sake suitable for pairing with nearly any cuisine but enjoyed best with beef. With an aroma of white muscat grapes and citrus fruits, its soft acidic taste flows down the palate very smoothly. It has a very elegant, long finish.

Great bday gift

Got a bottle of this for a friend's birthday. She loved it, as did her husband who prefers dry saké like this. Rave reviews all around the table. Kanpai!
